Military Bases - Different Types

Do you know there are different types of military bases? Yes, there are! Don’t worry if you did not know, I did not know at the beginning too, and that is only fair. Moving on, let us first define what a military base is. A military base is a facility or an establishment that is owned by the military. There are different types of military bases, and these are depending on the branch of the armed forces who are using that military base. The five branches of the armed forces are the navy, coast guard, marine corps, army, and the air force. Each of these branches have their own military base.
Whether the military bases are big or not does not matter that much. The important thing is that these bases are usable. It is also used to house or shelter military personnel, while there are also some gigantic bases that has a population of more than 100,000. These gigantic bases can already be called a city on its own. And these type of military bases already have civilians included in its population. The biggest considered military base of the United States is the Navy bases in San Diego, California.
